PROGRAMS
Eco Space Foundation runs a series of programs that make a difference in the lives of animals, local communities, and our planet.
SCHOOL OUTREACH
We deliver age-appropriate education in schools on veganism, animal rights, and sustainable diets.
We combine theory with hands-on practice through workshops and activities that teach students about the ethical, health, and environmental impacts of food choices. Students also participate in fruit tree planting events which strengthen food security and equip them with practical knowledge on growing their own food.
We also advocate for plant-based friendly policies in schools, as well as incorporating veganism into the school curriculum.
We support student-run Vegan Clubs that encourage students to share knowledge with their peers, advocate for animals and sustainable food systems, and, ultimately, drive long-term behavioral change in Uganda.
INSTITUTIONAL OUTREACH
We also foster inclusive dialogue between residents, institutions, and decision makers. We do so by engaging communities through media dialogues, menu planning, cooking demonstrations, nutrition education, and food sampling. We organize these activities in accessible spaces like schools, community centers, and town halls.
We also advocate for plant-based friendly policies and institutional food systems change.
Through this program, we promote shared understanding and progress by securing both stakeholder buy-in and enthusiasm from fellow Ugandans.
STREET OUTREACH
This program promotes compassionate, healthy, and sustainable living through non-confrontational public engagement.
We use street outreach, film screenings, food sampling, leafleting, and respectful one-on-one conversations to raise awareness about the impacts of food choices on health, animals, and the environment, while encouraging individuals to make conscious, informed decisions.
ANIMAL TRANSITION AGRICULTURe
This initiative supports individuals involved in animal agriculture to transition to sustainable, cruelty-free livelihoods.
We introduce them to veganism and animal rights while providing training in organic farming, afforestation, and plant-based alternatives, promoting environmentally sustainable practices and a more ethical, healthy food system.
RESEARCH AND POLICY CHANGE
We also advance action through research, policy engagement, and publication, emphasizing veganism, animal rights, food systems change, and sustainability.
As part of this program, we produce evidence-based research to inform ethical, public health, and policy discussions.
Through articles, policy briefs, and analytical publications, we strengthen public discourse, support informed decision-making, and promote humane, sustainable, and resilient food systems.
